Muzman came to visit at the Dark cafe's *stillpictures forum and told me about this place .... Thanks for the link Muzzy... looks like I'll have to hang around until I get to know other posters.

I was a freelance illustrator in London for around 15 years before producing progeny,... not the band, my v. own rugrats..... In the last 5 years publishing has been totally transformed by digital media so I got myself a Wacom and have been playing around with Adobe, MetaCrations Painter and PSP + Animation Shop, before I turn into a fossil!

Here are some things from a website I hope to publish soon before my commercial one expires. (shameless self-promotion)

Pretty soon traditional media will be all but obsolete.

Why do I get the feeling I'm being ignored here?

LOL, those are some cool smilies Alcatraz.
Maybe people didn't reply becuase you didin't ask any question I can see from your site that you are a talented Illustrator. Some of your gif animations look like they are experiancing some technical problems tho. The animation is good but there are light coloured pixels around the edges which gives them an amature feel. I know nothing of how to fix this, but it detracts from the impact of them a lot. maybe put them on a back ground until you can find a way of making the edges clean. You might have to do some pixeling up close to get the most out of the medium. but I don't really know. are you using Animation shop? it might be inferior to something like Adobe Image ready.
I love some of the stuff on your site. The colours are very very nice.

I would strongly disagree with any comment on traditional become extinct. Heh over my dead body anyway. Nothing beats going outside for a bit of sun filled drawing. Besides my eyes get tired looking at a screen all day

Have you done anything in Painter? I'd love to see what you come up with after looking at that stuff on your (commercial) site.

Don't feel dishartend by a lack of posts. there is so much trafic on here that some things slip by unnoticed unless they really catch your eye. People are into Traditional stuff here as well. Post some of your crayon drawings (or whatever) and you might get a nice response.

Ohh and I'll probably cause bad blood by saying this, but I think you should ditch that eye in your sig it looks a lot like filter stuff (which is genraly frowned upon). A picture of an eye that has been scaled and brightend shows only a few cheap tricks. your smilies on the other hand show that you should be capable of something a lot better.

Anyway, Welcome

Id have to agree with Jenn, ur smillies are cool i guess, but your other ones are ugle looking, keep em simple, and make the animation more smooth.
