This is the other dragon I painted for the children's adventure game that I told in this post: http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/006189.html
I put these pics there too but got no replies, so here we go again.
He's got a hay fever btw.
This is sketched for a 3d animation project we are planning with couple of my friends. It's a beast of burden or a mount.
Quick sketch of a baddie or something.
Any crits/comments? |

First one is great....edges are nice and tight and to the point...
The others I think could use a bit more tightening around the edges as well as a bit more definition in the 2nd one...
(Also, this is just to get this post back up, saving you some humiliation just kidding ) |

Woo. I really like the first one. (ok, so I like the others as well, but they're not as polished. ) The colors are really good for the most part, but for some reason, it seems like you've used too much green in the wheat/grass/tree area... I guess it's more just personal opinion, but it doesn't quite seem to go with the color scheme, and it takes attention away from the dragon, since he's also green... You might want to try pushing the area around him a bit more towards warmer colors, I think it would add a lot of depth.
Hmm. Looking at it agin, maybe this was intentional, like he's sad about having to leave his bright happy sunny home and wander into the dark and dreary forest. If that's the case, well, never mind then.

Top.
Void: Thanks for not letting me crash at full speed straigh after takeoff.
waylon: You're right, there is problems in the color contrast in the dragon pic. The tree portion is what especially bugs me. Thanks. |

Shamelessly putting this one on top in bold effort to get the third reply. |
