I have a feeling of that you have a lot of good stuff that you have'nt showed yet
Keep on posting. It's a long time since i tried charcoal, might give it a try.
Thanks fort the inspiration.

not bad...
good value range...clean marks...nice.
but...take a closer look at the structure and planes around the mouth. look closer at your model...memorizing those planes and that structure will help you with your imaginative work.

Thanks. I agree that the planes around the mouth are a little blurry, but I'm learning.

Wow, for a 30 minute pose, this is an excellent piece. ^_^
The only problems I am having with this piece is that the front of the face seems a little too big for the rest of the head. As a result, it makes the ear look like it's way too far back than it should be. The area where the ear lobe lines up with the cheek should probably be at the half point from the cheek to the back of the head. I suppose that's probably because you only had 30 minutes for this pose and sometimes when we are rushed, we miss little things like this. Anyways, great work. |

This is very good work. Good charcoal drawings look very delicate. Yours does. Your light and shades are very well defined, and it's a very good piece of work for 30 minutes. I think maybe his jaw looks a little "weak", but that could very well be the model.
Keep up the good work!
