I just made my pilgrimage down to SD to see the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the San Diego museum of art and it was GREAT! I'd like to go down on a week day if it were less crowded so I can spend some more time looking at his stuff. Everyone in the greater California area definitely should make their way down there since this is its only west coast stop. The show will continue till the end of December.

For those of you who may have already seen the exhibit, what was your favorite piece and did you leave the exhibit feeling kinda depressed like me (depressed only in the sense that I know I'll never be that good)? I'm still trying to process all the work I saw so I'm still not sure which is my favorite so I'll say all of them for now.

Any "Belle and Sebastian" fans out there? I know that its alittle off topic but I just discovered them and I think they are great, especially their album entitled "Tiger Milk".

Late,

Haven't seen it, would love to though.

Thing is, those artists would/will never be as good as you in your style. Think of it that way. Don't try and be/do an artists style, learn from it. Feel good that you can apreciate how well that artist's work is. Just some random Yin-Yang thoughts of mine. I do live by them though.

jHof, I'm not sad because I won't be able to copy his style, its more like the realization that I know that I'll never be that good regardless of how much I practice. I was also saddened that Work like that is no longer out there for illustrators to do. I'm glad that I saw it all the same.
