All of the colors you use are too bright in my opinion. Change it up a little and add some more contrast. One thing a colorist does when coloring sequentials is they try and bring out the most important panel. All of the panels on your page look the same. Rinaldo can explain this stuff better than me. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/frown.gif) |

whoa thats pretty sweet.. i think the colours are fine. except for that yellow light shining on her.. its just too yellow. also the shading could be touched up too, but other then that it looks nice ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Very nice panels! I would do something more dynamic with the color though, like using screening for lighting, instead of fading in a dark color, such as that purple. (it looks as though everyone's been stained purple, rather than having reflected purple light) Also, the purple lighting on her shirt in the larger panel seems misplaced, as to say there is light coming from her underwear? :)
Also, you can see too much of the ceiling in that larger panel. It seems to start with no perspective, then going into a really harsh one.
But anyway, these are just little comments if you wanted them. Overall I really do like this and it is way ahead in terms of the process of getting comic work. Really nice job.

Sc00p: JohnC has already published comics under DC, Image, and some others I think. He is just trying to learn to color now on his own linework. |

Thanks everyone for the crits and comments.
Yes I have drawn comics for companies such as Dc,Image,Malibu,Lightning and some independants. Ive worked with Todd McFarlane,Erik Larsen,Jim Valentino of Image.
Some books Ive done include Boof, Deadly Duo, Robin, Barry Windsor Smiths Rune, Sinja, Four Kunoichi, Hellina, Jack Kirby's Satans Six, Jack Kirby's Hellspawn, Death Angel and some other stuff.
I am now trying to learn coloring and do some online comics for fun. |

This work reminds me of the Blast Corps comic in Nintendo Power 2 or 3 years ago.
This one is much better than the Death Angel post. I mean... I like the content better in this post. The coloring is tight in both examples.
Overall, it's a good comic coloring style... comics don't always need to be super dark black shadows and bright shiny specular lights.
If this were a coloring of a Superman comic... I wouldn't have replied. I just don't like the traditional superheros as much as freaks like the MAXX. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

If cops looked like that then I'd be breaking the law all the time.
Ouch! Fiance just slapped me :P

looks good, coloring is fine (except the purple light on her shirt), but the only thing that bothers me is that hand closeup, she looks wrinkly and really odd. I mean here she has incredible legs and a tight body in one panel then the next her hand is all wrinkly. thats a weird index finger. |

well, here is another colored page from one of my comics I did. I colored this to practice coloring. This is my third piece I've ever colored so hopefully I will improve with time.
Again this is my pencils and inks. Hope you like it and I appreciate any comments or criticisms.

I like this coloring. The only thing that bothers me is her hand. Andre Correa is right about the it.

Chapel, started witht some of the coloring issues.
You should be trying to create movement from panel to panel with your colors. The coloring has very little contrast.
It is awfully airbrushed in various areas. The skin and hair specifically, stick out to me.
Why does she have that hard yellow light on her in the one panel? It doesn't appear elsewhere and doesn't seem to have a source.
The panel with the pages of the book really needs to be varied from the background.

The drawing is great! Colours are way too bright in my opinion, and they seem like "washed out".

Hello there.
I think you should try to vary the background color alittle, 'cause the panels melt into each other, like the panel with the book goes in to the panel to the left.
Otherweis it's looking good.
