This is a quick concept sketch for a guild member from the book Dune which I was playing around with.

It's sometimes hard to forget characters you've seen in a film when you do pictures from the book the film is based on.

Dune was incredible. But I'm sure enough people have said that, so i don't have to. I've done a handful of dune sketches aswell.

Really nice image. I think you've managed to capture that feeling the BOOK portrayed, and yes it is hard to break from movie images.
Do you know about the new Dune movie on space channel? 6 hours. 6 hours to portray everything herbert had in beautiful head.

Isric: I heard about the DUNE series a while ago and read some reviews. Could you show us any of the DUNE sketches you have?

That's nice concept, ceenda. I like the face. That blue thing pops out little too much compared to rest of the pic though, I think. You could also add little more color variation, but it's a sketch as you said so... Overall it's nicely loose.
