Well, first of all, i think critiquing pictures are great, i have learned alot from that, but thats not the kind of feedback i want here. I did this picture in less than an hour, so i would still have a feel for the emotion. Im not going to work on it anymore, or i might lose the meaning. I wasnt going for technical excellence, but more of an emotional response.... do you have any?

very peaceful... but cold. I dunno, the guy on the right looks like hes all bundled up.. which gives it that surreal cool but warm feeling... also looks like theres a cool breeze on the right side of the pic. makes me wanna be on the left side more.

it seems that an apocalyptic giant plasma ball is coming from behind and is destroying everythin , birds are fleeing the danger and the man is waiting for is fate and knows he will die very soon

The picture gives me a very cold feeling even with the warm colors. It's almost like the person is watching the sun go down for the last time.

I think motony would be a good word ...
But seriously, the strong hues of yellow resemble clouds of sulphur in the air, almost an alien landscape. Apocalyptic ? Hard to tell. The trees on the left for example, suggest otherwise. The birds are also a paradox, if the birds were survivors, like the man was, why are they not weary and tired, why are they soaring with such majesty in the air ?
I don't really think this is the kind of picture which evokes too many emotions, sorry. I know this is an experiment, but I believe a strong picture is one which speaks to you, a plain picture requires you to read. |
