Wondeful as always Micke.
I think maybe the neck is too short and his chest wouldn't come out that far at that level. Unless he's super chunky which the rest of the pic doesn't imply that much. But I dunno...just being picky ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

Looks great Micke!
Nice colorwork.
And it doesnt look as "comic" as many of you other pieces. I like that! =)

Great mood in this pic and very nice colors&lighting. Totally like your style. Can see some Moebius influences in there... Arzach or something, eh? ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

hey Micke.
Nice one. Maybe there's just a bit too much contrast? It makes it look more comic. Hmmm.. dont know what else to say. The eyebrow I think is too straight wich makes it a little 2d'ish. Should follow the shape of the forehead a bit more. Yeah, I know., I'm nitpicking...
It's a great loose image. Strong colors. I love how you accomplish the feeling of underpaint where tones shine through overlaying paint. Great.

I'm back...Thanks for input, guys.
Rinaldo:I agree with the neck being too short so i took care of it, hope it looks better.
Sporq:Thank you.
Simon: Seems like i've been stuck in comic-hell
Rhomb: Yeah, most of the times i have Moebius
in mind when i do something. I just love his work.
Yourmum: The helmet...kinda Moebius like
Boomstick: I played around with the contrasts
yesterday and i think that you have a point.
I can check it out. I also agree with the eyebrow and i'm gonna look into it.
Thank you for the comments!

micke, I love the lasso tool shapes. They remind me of the embers that fly off of burning newspaper.
I hate the brushstrokes in the background. This is because I see the edge of the large circle sticking out of a swipe. Mess that up into something else and it'll be fine, just fine.
Here's some suggestions...
1 - go and erase some of those large circle edges with a small brush eraser.
2 - use a (gasp!) filter to ripple or something... use a 50% filter effect if you cannot stand the dark power of filters
Real life brushstrokes from real paintbrushes are great, but photoshop brushstrokes are rougher. I'm going to work hard for brushstroke reform now and in the future. :P |

Really cool micke, looks very different to your different style of painting. Did you use wet edges?? or am i just obsessed..

Magnifico...this is nice for a don't know what to draw. THe only thing buggin me is the nostril. It is too far back. But everything else looks great. Looks like something Mobeius would do.
Full figure, full figure...

I updated the pic a little bit..
Boomstick, i took away some of the contrasts, you're right it looks better.
I also worked some more with the forehead.
Sergenth: i took away some of the rough strokes in the background. Sorry, no filters
this time
Cos: No wet edges. Hard brushes with different opacity.

Oops..Yeah, gonna fix the nostril.
Gotta do more fullfigures too. The only thing s that when i'm scrbbling down things somehow it's becomes faces. When looking at my gallery now it's only close-up of faces.
Bad habit!
Thank you

much better. Now it seems that the shadows have form as well. Its the same problem I'm fighting too. Wanting to have the painting look graphic some time results in 2dshadows...
great!

Heh, after a day of thinking, I thought I was being overcritical when I said "hate the brushstrokes", but you've turned that around and improved the pic in more ways than one!
I blame my all-day-headache yesterday for overcrticism and on-the-edge wording. |

Hey Micke, very nice as usual. Your lighting is very nice and subtle... bounce light, etc... it looks very nice and soft. You're way better than me at it - my stuff is always too contrasted and hard.. really like your recent stuff, very nice! |

Ahhh very nice, I like the colors.
Actually I think the high-contrasted image looked better. but thats just me
oo yes I have a very bad habit of either just doing faces, or face-chest images instead of full body ones.

Boomstick, i'm glad you liked it better now.
Sergenth: No matter what crit you get it forces you to take another look at the picture. In this case with the brushstrokes, i found more things that could be improved.
Thank you.
Frost:Thanks man
My stuff is also always too contrasted.
I bought this really good book with an Fantastic artist called "Mucha" You should check him out! He makes very soft and subtle
paintings with great forms and shapes. The colours that he is using looks fantastic.
I bet you will not be disapointed.

micke: The definition of tone and lighting in your pics make them look really solid. Very impressive indeed!
How do you use the lassoo tool in your pics? Do you use the lasso for making templates (i.e. like in airbrushing)?
Anyway, great stuff!
