In the spirit of Feng's awesome drawing...

I'm working on a color version of this, but I thought it might be cool to see other people's takes on this drawing. A larger image (1200x1524) can be downloaded here:

if you people will colour this, could some of you maybe save the .psd file just like rinaldo did it here -> http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/005961.html - my girlfriend (laveal) is currently trying to learn as much as possible about colouring with photoshop and these files could be really helpful (im a musician, im not colouring anything...)

thanx everyone,
GodChi

here you go:

A question:

do you rework the linework that you scan in any way or just plain draw (pencil) and scan?

because when I try to scan pencil drawings they loose a lot of values.

Another fine example of Gabe's (mine) sloppy work. I'd love to put more time into this mess, I'll keep it as it is. Oh, and please don't critise at the painted guns. I know. Eeek.

GREAT drawing, Francis. I had much much fun coloring it. Thanks again

Gabriel

I'm tired but had a quick go at your pencil francis. nice movement in it. It's a quicky watercolored sketch done with painter just to relax after a day of work done ...with painter. I had fun working on it.
btw it's a first post so I guess things won't work :-), and anyway I'm very tired so don't blame me.

(*sigh*) - this was a lot harder than I anticipated, and I'm a little dissapointed in myself. oh well. A perfect example of how NOT to shade.. this turned into a overcontrasted, dark, see-nothing piece of crud.

Man all these are freakin great! I have Transcendent's as my desktop right now. Not that I think it's the best or the worst, but it's just sort of oddly compelling.

This was a pencil sketch that I scanned. There was some crud on the scanner bed that I keep meaning to wipe off but haven't yet, so I erased some of the artifacts. Other than that, I just try to keep the linework as clean as I can, and use the levels adjustment to make the scan have as much contrast as possible.

Frost, that looks cool - can you either post or send me a bigger version?

Not sure I want to color this now - mine wouldn't add anything new to this crop.

Thanks everybody, keep em coming.

Coloring time is phun!

I'm guessing I went with a Gen-13 style of color choice...? I dunno what I did... coloring with a mouse is exhausting. :P

It's a nice pencil drawing!
