Heya all. I just bought a small graphics tablet a couple of weeks ago and have been experimenting with different techniques. I just found sijun.com and its really a great resource;
Anyway, I did this pic a week or so ago using a bronze statue as reference. I'm not really sure if its successful (I realize the background is cheap, I was more concerned with rendering the figure correctly), but I was wondering if anyone has any pointers on getting the cloth to look more realistic--right now its very goopy and smooth.. I wonder if it would be easy to put a texture lightly over the fabric using a masked selection?
PS: I also did this little study to see just how similar painting with a tablet is to the real thing...
thanks for any feedback you can offer,
-Shaun Williams
