No it's not a self portrait.. This is an early render of our main character for a short. The zombie looking texture map has been fixed so he dosent look so dead, but i dont have a render handy. anyhoo head o dwarf:

Very Nice model. Really like the idea. Well if you want critique then here it comes .
The textures don't look very convincing, I recommend you get rid of the skin texture and paint your own, photographs tend to look very uninteresting. Also the eyes need some work. Besides that it looks great. Just work on the texturing and lighting.
I am guessing you are using Lighwave 3D. Which version?
Keep up the great work.

i was gonna guess that he is using maya for it..... not that i can tell fur from one app and another, mayube i can....but you set the staggle and whatever on enough objects...
looks good though, nice ear. it is obviously in a developmental stage, so i will leave you to finish.. are you guys going for photorealism or a slightly abstracted animated look? i guess that will dictate your texture choices.... have fun.
