Have you tried using real inks before?
I've never used painter, but I prefer real inking. Do you have a pen for inking?

Was there anything wrong with the advise the first person posted...did you test it?

He is right. Make your images at higher rez. Both because you can ad detail, and if you like it..you can have it printed. 72 DPI is noe rez to make art, even if you do scale it up..you loose alot of information (data).

But also, try using the paintbrush with a low softsetting, that will give you a soft "pencil" look, and not so pixelated. But usualy the pencil is great..use it on a blanck layer, and skecth..then lock it, creat a new layer and fill in colors underneath the pencil layer.

i think this pic is at 700 dpi res... it was 600 x 700 and i didnt bother cleaning it up or anything....it was a very quick sketch maybe took 5 minutes and i know it shows....i think my problem is that it usually takes me a while to draw pictures and from what i saw in other forums about wacoms they say it's good to sketch quickly...well anyway look at my piece of crap..heh :-)
