Here's the new image i'm workin on, this is just a 20 min sketch. I'm wondering how you guys draw clouds? It's because I'm trying to make a nebula effect behind the plannet and am sucking at it.
Also on the note of plannets, how do you guys draw them? Any tips? |

Hey. To draw clouds... you can jsut look out side and check em out as a reference. If the area ya live in dont got clouds, use a photo reference from places on the web. As for the planets.... just basically make em round and add craters, vegetation etc... |

Well yeah hehe, i know i could just look outside. Visualizing it is no problem. But with my tools, i just can't get the soft pastaly look to it. If i try to blend in the colors it looks too blurry, if i don't it looks too sharp. But yeah, thanks. |

For the clouds; I would say just make the space (stars and everything) all around the planet. Then go over it with a very light airbrush. Make it thicker in some areas, but right now the clouds in general look too thick. And as for the planet goes, It looks pretty good but I would make it a little blurrier. Generally a planet is huge and you can't really see fine details from a far. You have some hard lines in there, maybe just smear them out a little.
Looks like a reall promissing pic though, hope I helped you out a little. |
