Ok, last week I got WS/Hybris, and I'm pretty sure it's gone now. Not positive, but you can never know with viruses.
Anyway, I've gone to a very knowledgable friend of mine and sent him a corrupted file for him to take a look at, and his general concensus was that it was a very poorly coded Trojan/Virus hybrid.
I had some other information about its origin (including the email address of the person who supposedly sent it out) and I searched him on icq and it turns out to be some guy from Argentina whose first language is apparently Spanish.
In the virus itself there's a message that makes little sense and has horrible grammar, suggesting that english is not the person's first language. Also it was badly written in a bad language with help from some bad programs, suggesting that this person isn't very knowledgable about programming at all and was just making the thing for some jollies(which would be the case for most viruses I guess).
I'd really like to know what you people think. Was the guy from Argentina the real programmer, or was it some other person who had access to his email account? The poor code would suggest the argentinian guy, but the fact that it was just_too_easy to find him is disturbing.
Now, if you have any other info on this virus, I would REALLY appreciate it, also your opinion on the question asked in the previous paragraph would be nice
thanks a lot for reading my overly long message
