Ok thanks to a recent thread, Ive decided to go back to school despite my age! : ) I
was wondering of anyone out there has suggestions for a good art school. Doesn't
matter where, anywhere in the US. Savannah is one ive been thinking about but i
would like to look at as many as possible..

my friend went to savannah...she loved it there. she just graduated and kicks ass..... there is always art center in pasadena. a good school. standard, really.... thats where they genetically engineer the spooge demons and the doug chiangs and what not. a good fundamental base is layed there.... i would sit in on some of the life drawing there and just be amazed by what you are surrounded by.... very cool and most of the students are pretty dedicated (probably because they are paying so damn much for it) there is also calArts in valencia.....uh, college of arts and crafts in San Francisco.....laguna college of art.....savannah, like you said.....where else is there that i have looked at? find somplace in a really cool city that you can live in and soak up the atmosphere....maybe new york. i wish i studied in ney york. it seems like a great place to be a painter, printmaker and sculpter (which is what i trained in mostly)
all that stuff...or check your local schools and meet with the instructors. look at thier work. find sombody cooll.....i am just all about posts about schools today. i will just also shout out a BEWARE the loser art teacher that teaches from a book and has no real design sense. if you get stuck with one of these, drop and get a new class before they suck the life and creativity out of you. |
