Just kidding.
Regardless, this is the actual question I had in mind. Whats the max filesize you've hit for detailed pictures?
Im begining to think this PII300 128MB machine cant take the stress a 200MB file causes...
I need some goddamn money. Blargh. |

I wonder how many people will skip this thread just because it has "Wacom question" in the subject. Bets, anyone?
And as for the question, I have a PIII 550 with 256 MB RAM so I don't need any upgrading...yet. Will probably upgrade to 400 MB RAM soon, though.

Waiting puts chest hair on me? Crud, that turns the ladies off round these parts
The projects Im about to hit will probably come close to notching the 300 - 400MB mark...
Woe is me...

lets tangent for a moment.
300mbs of what?
(256 is good though; but Windows and PhSh seem not want to use it until they absolutely must. Just means you don't access the swapfile as often it seems.) |

My P-III Coppermine 800MHz can handle files quite well.
Unfortunately I only have 96 MB of PC-100. One of these days if I can get some money together to upgrade again, I'll have to get a 256MB stick of PC-100. I think it's going for about $250-300 these days but im not certain. |

Clearly. But what is this behemoth?
some huge 3d anim?
a billboard ready for printing at 600dpi?
(it occurs to me you might be talking about active swap space while a file is open or something. Either way, sounds pretty harcore.)
