I especially like how you dealt with the jutting shadow.. giving line to her face without really using line.
Photoshop is cool

for a bizzare (completely non goth related) reason, you'r drawings remind me of Kafka's writing... weird
heh I tried making a drawing in that same vein as yours, the 2 color deal, and I've got it pretty far.... but only at school as my Zipdrive here is broke |

Franz Kafka, probably one of the harder to read authors, he's very well... he's very interesting.
now that I think of it, this perticular artpiece is not quite as kafka like as I originally stated. but still, maybe I associate Goth type art with Kafka.
if you want to read a very bizzare book, start with "The Metamorphosis", it's about a guy who wakes up one morning as a giant insect. the insect is a reference to somone who dosn't fit in to society. very bizzare surreal book.
perhaps it's your comic book charecters that remind me of him, anyways, real interesting author to read if you want.

Blup; Yeah, I draw my women very angular...hehe
Flexible Elf; Thanks! I tried to work on a nice composition for this one...No defining lines, just structure...I like how it turned out.

Hi Visigoth,
I've just seen a short animation in the same style you draw...really cool..damn so much expression with as less "colors" as black and white. Ive seen your site too, great stuff...

Hm, noone mentioned it, maybe it's just me, but her right eye appears a little odd to me. Slightly too high? And it pops out in a way. Oh well.
Like the direction u are headin with your style, keep it up! |
