Yeah, I love that site. Awesome work. Also check out: http://www.greyscale.net
As far as how they made 'em, I would use illustrator and create a blend between a few shapes to get those regular patterns.
Or you do this (which looks a lot different) render out a SuperSpray of extruded triangles in 3d Studio Max. Add some volume lights, soft glow, motion blur and you've got something like this:

I was going past this site http://www.vir2l.com/ and i noticed a lot of layers, shapes, etc. since i'm new to digital art i was wondering how were those exploding polygons made? i've seen them on several sites. as i primarily use photoshop i think i miss out on the latest gadgets. if anyone can help thanks. |
