Hiya...
The style will be improved alot though..
Anyways, it's a pencil sketch on top and colors under it. The lightning isn't very good and his hat is a bit awkward but what the hell =)
All feedback is more than welcome.

Hey tyron,

while it looks like your drawing is coming along nicely there are a few problems. the head is too big for a start. When I think Viking I think big an' nasty . this guy looks more like a dwarf or something, big head small body etc.
the strap that's holding the sword looks like it's floating, make the sword look as if it's heavy. I'm not sure about the sword hilt either. maybe a bit too thick IMHO.
I think this style of rendering has potential but it needs to be refined. have you seen the drawings for Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics (both RPG's by squaresoft if ya didn't know) they used a simmilaer technique. I'm not sure on the technical side if things "exactly" how they did it but the style is the same. If you havn't already had a look I'd recomend finding some of the pics, they're very well done.
If you have no luck I might be able to remember where I got some from and give you the URL.

Hope this helps

Oh Thanks!
Finally a reply with some good advices..
I was starting to get a bit pissed off that no one replyed...
I agree with you on both the head and the strap... Dunno if i'll fix it though, i'll just remember it and plan my next picture better.
I have not seen much from the games, although, i have seen a picture of one of the characters from Vagrant Story. It was very beautiful...
I'd be grateful if you could look for some links with art from the games.
Maybe i could find some on psx.ign.com...
Anyhow, thanks alot.

I can't seem to find the site that had all the cool stuff on it. I'll keep looking and maybe email you some of the FF tactics pic I've got.
