Okay, so I FINALLY drew something new, I've been so damn busy with school/work/trying to finish my site, I've hardly had a chance to draw, and truthfully, couldn't draw a damn thing I liked. If you don't draw for a while you lose your touch I find. I actually like this one though (but it has its faults), and I'm going to start coloring it tonight. Figured I'd post the drawing since I have no idea how long coloring will take. Any comments?

Nice to see you drawing again sc00p. I've always looked forward to your pics. I like this pic by the way. Reminds me of Cloud from FF7 though. Can't wait to see your colors. Especially since your coloring style is what got me to start trying comic colors.

looks nice scoop. I like the lines.... small comment, it's cool that the legs and feets are big, but in a way, I guess it must be because the increase gradually in size, you kinda get the feeling that they are in a different perspective than the face. Hmm, maybe it's just me. But, therefor I feel that the body is a bit out of balance. Man, that must have been the most lousy explanation I've ever given, sorry.

btw, what are you working with daily ?

Chapel: You're right, he does kinda look like him, just a bit more ninja-esque I suppose :) I promise he won't be blonde. I was thinking reds and greys for the outfit...

The drawing looks good but my comments would be as a previous post has identified. The bottom half of the character just tapers out too much. The hands are easily bigger than the head and the legs and feet are huge.

I don't know whether you are going to 'paint' over it or just colour it in but it might be worthwhile in PhotoShop to play around with the transform -> perspective function first

Joachim: Haha, you're right, it does look a bit odd. Not SO odd that I'm going to redraw it, but yeah, this is the result I get from working on my flat table instead of an inclined drawing table :)

I'm a design subcontractor working through Sparkart, a design company in the states. Right now I've got a big design contract getting ready with Linkin Park (ever hear of that band?) I'll be doing their website, hopefully leading into more promotional stuff for their band. I'll be sure to post when I've completed anything for public viewing. Also I've got to redo my company's corporate identity, and work on a seperate financial company corporate identity at the same time, all while doing fulltime school. So needless to say I get busy.

Hehe..."get busy"...hehe.

Thanks for the comments, I'll definitely take heed of that point next time I draw something, which should be around 2010 :)

Matt, thanks for the comments. You're right, something is up here, but I do like the big feet/hands/smaller head as it makes it more like the manga style I'm going for. I think perhaps because the pants are supposed to be so baggy, they come forward, throwing everything else off.
I can try playing w/ perspective perhaps, but since the linework is 2 color, if I do that, it will antialias it, and make it hard to color. I think I'll just take all this info for next time, but thanks a lot.

Scoop, I think it's awesome just the way it is. As you said, the abnormal proportions just make it more of a Manga style which I personally love.. I'd love to see it colored, so make sure to post the completed work...

Man, I need to learn to draw Manga.. :-\
