Anyone remember this picture? I added a bit of stuff.

I Struggled with her arms for awhile then just gave up and did the rest of the picture. There's something seriously strange with how I placed her shoulders or something that made it look... Wrong when her arms were the right length. If anyone wants to give a shot overpainting and trying to fix that'd be very kind.

Anyway, Comments, Critiques, General booing are all welcome. I promise I'll try to listen and learn.

Too many Angel Drawings (on my part as well) leads to this kinda stuff...

Hi there!
I certainly like your rendering technique, and the girl's face and hair are quite realistic (and she reminds me of a girl I know), but you certainly can improve the pose and proportions. They're not very bad, but they aren't the same quality as the other features. However, people in this post seems not to reply to posts with the word devil or devilish in their topic

i think her shoulders r a bit too high, so if throws her arms off and stuff... it looks like she has no trapezius muscles and her shoulders r ruler straight from her neck. other than that its great!! i could never do that. instead i go around picking apart other people's stuff even tho i couldn't do it sorry if i sound like a bitch!

I must admit i like your picture, i like the devil in the background, i drew a picture like this the other night and after seeing yours i went back and fixed mine, i did a devil in the background like that.

But I kinda like her shoulders like that, it looks kinda like she's raising up in the air and her shoulders are raised up also. It looks to me like maybe her torso is too long. Just my view.

OMG! That looks so 'eeevillll'. She must have went to 'eeevilll' school! "What's a nice girl like you doing in a face like this?" Haha! ;-) I like the girl, the demon is quite eviillll but ties into the character I know. Good job though. I'm scared enough to paint Hellboy for fear of my religious relatives doing something drastic! :-)

My few comments...
1. Make her stand out more from the background to give a bit more dimension to the image. I hate to say it, but maybe a 'halo' or blur the background slightly.
2. MAYBE, not sure, but possibly add a bit of white, blue or off-white to the bottom of the fire as that's the hottest part. It may help balance the image.
3. Move her up to the center of the painting, move the devil into the center of the background and make him larger and possibly more transparent, so as to hint he's there rather than show him so boldly. (Unless of course that's the intention.). Make the devil 'one' with the flames...as the flames are making him.
4. Leave it alone and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. :-)

Looks nice! It's got a great background and the colours are beautiful too.
Maybe if you had drew angel a little larger, you would then be able to see more detail. But it's too late for that now.... oh well.

Zenzuke: Rendering and Doing faces consistantly well is the only thing I do at a consistant level. As for who it looks like my tally is, two Laura Palmers, One "a girl I know", and two Traci Lords.

I hope I fixed up something with this iteration.

nightmare: You're from alberta eh? Whereabouts?

Delucubus: The devil guy in the background scares me cause he just sorta painted himself in. I didn't really think about it much I was sorta scribbling to get a feel for how I was going to do it and then "WHOA! where did that come from?" it was done. I think it might look a little too Japanese Oni Mask though.

The raising up effect with the shoulders is , in fact, what I was going for. thanks for catching it. I think her torso's the right size but she didn't have any hips. So I gave her some.

Spooky: Ha ha you've been watching too much "Kids in the Hall" again haven't you? Welcome to the Forum Chad, good to see you posting.

1.How did I do?
2.Flamey knockout work alright for you?
3.hahaha You're NUTS! THAT'S a lot of work! but Ok. Something like this?
hmm... I kinda like that. I was going to do something like this originally but then I thought it would cover up too much of old horn head, it does but it might be an acceptable loss.
4.oops.

jasonN: I could post I high res version of it if you'd like. I wanted to fit her sword and Magicky stuff in, so that's why she's the size she is. There is a lot ofdetail that gets lost in the smaller size, smaller rez, web ready picture.

I like it! It works better overall! I liked the bit of halo on the version you did behind her, but otherwise, BRAVO Ol' Chap!
