One of my Fav-o-rite artists shows a little bit of his techniques. Alex Ross, shows how he created a spawn cover. Nice stuff and a good example of to use references properly.
have fun

I'm trying to paint one of Ross' superman drawing, I have a whole bunch of his stuff saved on my computer, including some black and white pencil sketches, really nice stuff. The painting I'm doing however, I wouldn't really hold in high regard. |

lots fo the the ross work is photo's projected on the paper, traced, then modified. a great technique for getting your layout.......then tweak and be an artist and work it. nice stuff..... alex ross kicks the doors down like a champ. |
