Hey this a 2d animation i just finished for class. First stab at actually drawing every--single--frame. i have quite the appreciation now for you 2d animators. it was a lot of fun though. my machine drops frames the 1st time through.. anyhow heres the link:

that was really nice. I like simple things that people take the time to notice. For the most part it is really smooth. Just around the 4 second mark though, the right side of the leaf peaks up suddenly. Up until this point the leaf had seemed pretty rigid. This made it seem like it had a lot more flexibility than what it had in the 1st four seconds. To my eye, this didn't seem 100% believeable.

I know I'm probably being incredibly picky but I think to get this looking better you should have rotated the left side of the leaf down a little while the right side went up. This would have helped it maintain a rigid feel to it.

I really did love it for it's simplicity in concept (obviously to do it was alot harder) and it has come off really well

Hey

thanks for the reply. I was trying to make it look like the end was being kicked up a little right before it settled down, but i think your right, i stretched it instead of rotating it. something to keep in mind for the next one.

Hey Sedul,

I hand drew all of the frames for this then shot them on a camera rig @ school. the actual program used was PVR, but u can use anything that can take frames.. The machines have a video cap card and vcrs so once i was done shooting i dropped it to tape.
