Janne: Very nice. If you have a website up, I'd surelly like to visit and see more of your stuff.

Axl: Janne said it's photoshop, not painter.

Wow, that's is really nice. Love the loose feel to it. It's got a lot of life and character to it.

This is really nice. I would try to distinguish the two lights a little more. They are different sizes, which conveys the perspective, but the amount and intensity of light from the two lamps seems almost the same. The one in front could be brighter or have a longer falloff or something, or the one in the back could be cooler. Just a thought. I really like the reflection on the ground.

That's a really moody pic...Your painting style kind of reminds me of VanGogh, with your almost splotchy strokes, but still an excellently rendered image...Good work!

Thanks all for your too kind comments

Frost: sorry, no website up but... umm. heck, you might want to check my temp directory: www.saunalahti.fi/~jannep1/workish
beware, there's a lot of crap in there.

Francis: thanks for the suggestion! i also thought about that, and it actually was darker in the beginning but at the end i made a compositional choice of bringing it up more... hm, now it looks that it wasn't the best alternative.

I have been painting a lot in painter and i thought to give photoshop a try this time. probably not the most interesting pic... it was more an exercise in (moody) lighting but i still kinda like how it turned out.

i would, as always, appreciate any comments, suggestions and critisism you might have.

Like the pic. Very moody, reminds me a level from Thief 2. The shadows are nice as is the blue light on the cobblestone path. Which version of painter did you use?
