That is sweeeeet. I'd make most of the metal stuff some steel grey's and blues. Add a bit of rust, maybe some white/yellow/black/red for warning signs or something, but nothing too complex, like francis said. |

Hey, that's a great pic! It reminds me a lot of Geof Darrow's work. I agree with Francis, it would prob be better to keep the colouring simple, due to the complexity of
the detail. Looking forward to seeing the finished results. |

I drew this last night. I want to color it, but I have no idea where to start. I've never painted something with so much detail before. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Very nice indeed.
Im just giving my opinion on how I would color this picture.
I think that it should be quite dark. Maby some light from above. I also think that the moniter in the lower cinter should be giving off kind of a grean glow which would help put a nice highlite on some of the pipes. It would also help if some of the pipes were leaking water onto the walk way so that you could have a nice reflection. It could sort of resembal something that you would be running around in, in Metal Gear Solid.
Looks nice.

I wouldn't get too complex with the coloring. This is a terrific line drawing, and if you add a lot of complex coloring, I think you would lose some of the line quality, or at least compete too much with it. To me it wants to have a very simple, desaturated color palette like Moebius might use. That's just my opinion, of course...
Good luck with this, I'd like to see it when you're done.

I would personally focus on one part of the picture. Maybe start on that large pipe in the lower left.
Nice picture.

Geez, looked at this, thought "wow, that's nifty. looks like Moebius or something"
Great work, as for the coloring, I'd say comicky coloring for this linework, maybe just 3-4 different shades of desaturated colors (no shinies unless wet) to emphasize that gritty matte look.
(and what's with that green monitor stuff? have you ever seen a green glowing monitor anywhere? sheesh.)
