I am currently attending a university majoring in comp. science, but I am more interested in graphics. I have been doing it for awile now and I am going to transfer to the Art Institute of Atlanta. The only thing I am worrried about is finding a job in this field. I know it is not as abundant as comp sci. jobs but i love art and I would be happier doing it for a living but I do not know much about the industry aspect such as salary, availibility of jobs etc... oh yeah my program would be Bachlor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation. Or I have the choice of Graphic Design Bachlor of Fine Arts. I am kind of undecided there as well. If somebody in the industry could please let me know some information reguarding job availibilty, salary etc... it would be a great help. The thing is I dont want to swtich to COmputer Graphics whihc i love but not be able to find a job when i graduate. I know other factors are involoved such as skill, and creativity, but if anybody could supply me with some information it would be greatly appreicated. thanks.

Again - this forum can't tell you what you'd enjoy doing. There's a big difference between illustration, graphic design and animation.
A lot of people love all of them, some spend their whole life in just one.
It's good that you're realizing you'd like to do art now, rather than ten years down the road. There's so much to learn...
As far and a job - there's always a need for talented people with good ideas. If you're good, you won't have a problem getting work. Fine artists have a hard time getting work, commercial artists less so (so if you don't mind doing what people need done (ie 'selling out') in a commercial setting, it's a little easier than displaying in galleries.
That being said, some jobs lend themselves to freelance (illustration) and some full-time work, like graphic design and web design. 3d animation is a very difficult field to break into, but if you're good...
