Yes, I decided I'm still doing it!

I already declined a couple of entries - I counterapplied at the submitters, because they can teach me a lot more than I could teach them - holy crap people are good!!!!!

As for now, I've gotten about 15 mails, all containing very cool stuff!

Keep 'em coming - btw, send images that you think would suit my area (landscape, hardware) since it's hard to judge from a pure character painting how I could help you.

i dont need much mentorship... i would just need like documents or somethings about photoshop and the way you draw in there. ect... i have a good background in traditional but not digital... im sure that as soo n as i get my watcome ill be able to produce some exciting stuff heh... well just to let you know loki i would like to read about the tips and they way you do stuff in digital.....

but i dont have no work to show.. unless i do a crappy one right now for 2 minutes

Dont you think it would be better for you to help people who arent already good in the area for which you are an expert?

I mean, that only makes sense to me. Dont draw only what you do well, or else you'll never learn right? Well I think you should be ONLY taking apps from character people.

I'd LOVE to apply to be your apprentice, but Im mostly character & creature design. Environment design is something I REALLY want to get into, but have no real background in painting .....well....backgrounds.

Heck, I recently E-mailed Shane Caudle to ask for some images of the environment designs he did recently for the new Unreal Technology demo. I LOVE that stuff, but am sadly VERY weak in that area, which my meager portfolio reflects. I'd like to correct that.

I'd love to have a mentorship, but I don't get much free time. I only get to check the forum inbetween tasks at work.

Hey its me, the artist that made the
frozen dog pic!

I'd like to mentor under you Loki, I have a
Pentium 3 with photoshop, a wacom 6x8 and
the ability to learn quickly! That's always a plus, because hardware alone isn't going to get anyone anywhere...unless they want to play a solid game of counterstrike.

anyways, my site link is below...i only have 3 images up, that i'm currently working on, and i'll throw my photo references up for them as well. For now, i'm just painting from reference, because I feel I don't have the wacom skillz yet to create stuff randomly from my imagination. I'd like to focus on both...so if you could teach me some tricks,
