Just curious, but anyone have any recommended reading on composition (as in where things should be placed or how to make pictures more interesting).

On a totally unrelated topic, I have a problem with coming up with interesting backgrounds. Does anyone have tips on how to make nice backgrounds without flooding or drawing too much attention away from the main subject?

Don't make the background too complicated or the main image will get lost.

I suck at background but this is the tip I most often hear from people.
