Here's a small, resized section of my first shot at painter. It's part of a Xmas card for work. I know the illustration itself's utter crap, but I was really impressed with the textured feel you can get from the program.
Anyway, I hadn't posted anything for ages (exept cubes), so I thought I'd break the vow of silence with this.

... there's an idea for a thread in December - chrissy cards. I'd love to see some of the artists impressions of santa
I'll definately keep experimenting with Painter. It shits all over the 'natural-media' stuff I've tried to do in Photoshop.
Once I get some spare time I'm hoping to try Veb's tutorial - if only he'd include some more info on brush types and techniques ... hint, hint ... nudge nudge
