Thanks to sergenth and ozenzo for explaining optimization to me in the ms paint thread. This is something I was farting around with, trying to draw with the wacom the same way I draw with pencil and paper. I think it's still a little easier and more natural with the pencil. Anyway, comments please.

Nice picture Francis.
The highlights on the hair and the eyes is simple yet effective as is the shading on the body. The face reminds me of a picture in a previous thread, I think it was something like "Draw how you see yourself", the picture was of Julie. I agree with you saying that it's easier and more natural using pencil and paper than drawing with a tablet. |

Nice work Francis. I'm not to big on drawing with the wacom. I prefer to sketch-n-scan. Are you playing around with comic style stuff again?
By the way nice to see you post again. Starting to hate newbies.. hehe.

very nice drawing.
your art seems very simple but effective that was mentioned in the forum... i like your style... i think wacom and their graphics tablets makes it easy for people to get hold and play around with different mediums and that is why i am here to learn all those mediums. |

I'm sorry I'm a newbie, Chapel.
Very nice, Francis.
I love the simple graidents. And the hair rendering is very nice, too.
I don't have a Wacom myself so I can't really make a comment on the two. But I think this came out well.

1. Cranium too small...unless your going for a character type, she has a pretty small brain.
2. Shoulders are too wide. You have a habit of drawing women with linebacker shoulders...is there something we dont know?
3. In accompaniment to that, the left hand is too small, moreover the fingers are too stubby. Looks like an Asian hand on a Caucasian woman...
4. Need to define the right breast. It looks like it is missing.
5. Need to redefine the right hip. It too seems to be missing.
6. THe left butt cheek would be passing behind the right leg, and if that be the case, the right leg is immensely bigger in volume than the left leg, and she got gappage... Check that to fix. She would need her hips aimed more at us the viewer to have the Shirow gap going...
7. Cute face on her... |

Hey Francis
I don't think I could get the lines that good with a wacom. Then again I don't think I'd bother. Only takes a few minutes to scan. I think this is a far distant second to the exelent quality of line you achive on paper. still looks good tho |
