Ok, I have a question.
Did it ever happen to you that you really want to draw but you're really pissed off at something...and you simply cant get a sketch or whatever going ?
I've been having a lot of trouble like that recently and i feel im going nowhere fast..Its like my hand refuses to draw.
Any suggestions on what might help ?
Man...I feel like im talk to a shrink

Hehe, that's just life, my friend. The only thing that works for me is to DO something, whatever it may be. Distract (hope that's the right word for what I'm trying to say)yourself with something. Don't go sit in front of a blank sheet/screen staring and thinking. Cause that's what probably is gonna happen. Do something else with friends of yours, then try again. Don't force it. Everything's gonna be fine...

Spend an entire day away from drawing. Go out have fun, do something physical in nature and you'll be fine. Release the stress

make 150 drawings on printer paper with a brush and some ink... no matter how bad they are, just draw untill your hand falls off, then maybe you can come up with some inspiration looking back at the work

Yo Seph|roth!

Yeah, the best way (for me) seems to be away from the computer (media) a while.
That includes being on the web, irc etc.
I never have so many ideas as when I come back from a vacation where I've had no way to comunicate with pther ppl.
Strange but true
So, just turn of the box and head out on a goalless stroll trough town or take a trip out to the country side. The woods will help you regain your lost energy.
Sit with your back against a big tree and just look at the surrounding nature.

eum...oh yeah, don't forget to bring something to eat and drink =)
And, leave the sketch/power book at home

Well, i guess i should clear my head of all this stuff..
Women, its all their fault
I guess i should steer clear from my sketchbook, since i cant seem to draw anything decent anyway.

Grab a nice pen (those Pilot Precise X-tra Fine works wonders).

Grab a large sketchpad.

Lay back on the couch.

Set your pen down.

Just start scrawling without stopping.

Overlook your randomness and tangles as you go along.

You may eventually start to single out familiar shapes (subconscious at work?) and capitalize on them.

I know this is a God send for me...at least.

Im getting really frustrated when i cant put my ides on the paper, its a little strange though, because as soon as someone else is giving me a serious commission i tend to do miracles, well to myself ofcource.
It gets so much easier when i can think of it as work and not just a hobby, i dont have a qlue of why its like that though.

Still the "hobby" pics is the most fun to complete (when i relly suceeds with one)
