thx guys...
He's gunna be the star of my final portfolio animation. I noticed that some of the poses dont have glasses...BUT the red series is su[pposed to be a sequence from elft to right...and there's a REASON he doesnt have lasses there...anyone notice anything else i should do to make him better? I want some constructive critisim |

I dunno if it goes with the charecter, but braces?
right now he REALLY reminds me of this old cartoon show.... can't remember the name, it involved this black kid, and an angel, and was VERY stupid, I think it was pre scuby doo |

Well, It looks great but now that I think about it one thing seems out of place.
In the second grey pose where he faces left, his check seems odd. I don't really know how to describe, it but it seems like it's coming out from the side of his face about 6".
Other than that it's great. You just might want to be careful with that cheek on side shots. Maybe make the check line less distinguished so it blends better?
Thats just my take on it. Good luck with your animation.

Looks pretty neat Pak-rat. Reminds me of one of the characters from that cartoon "The Babysitter". (I think that is the name) Anyway, I think you should try and keep the teeth a little more simple instead of drawing them in. Only do that on close ups. Also, there does seem to be a little inconsistency from pose to pose. You may want to set up a templet before you start so you can see your character from all angles. This is an excerpt from Scott McDaniel's page.

Well for example.. his sideburns change length every other pose. Some of the poses he has lips and others he doesn't. The picture of his back shows his hair being long and wide in the back while all of the side shots display it as a tight hair cut. Also, his sleeves change too, but that is minor. That picture I posted in my previous post was what some artist do to keep the consistancy. You draw it from every side using the lines as guidelines, so when you reproduce the character in different poses you can tell where everything goes easier. Make sense? |

i think you have an excellent idea there, with the markers yer speaking of, im going to do that. thx
anyone else have some comments about other stuff they think i should check out? other inconsitancies? which are the stongest poses? What kind of boy would u say he was...if u had to describe him |

I agree with Chapel, I saw alot of inconsistancies off the bat.
In a few poses the way the hair comes up in the front changes and it bugs me. Also, not only do the sideburns change length but in one particular pose they go behind his ear. He also appears to be gaining/losing weight from pose to pose. I don't know what this is for so my suggestions are really limited eheh
bizarde: good show, man!
