Here she is with color. Got quite fond of this image;-) If it turns into a cover or something, I`ll have to add some more space at the bottom and top though.

nice vebjrn !
How about juicing up the highlights and bright up that ass a bit. Since you've kept such high contrasts to the pic, and the butt is in the focus you might as well flesh it out a bit

Awesome stuff as usual Veb,
I agree with that the butt cheeks are too flat. The womans right cheek is brighter than the the left one, makes it look flat.
Im not even sure if we would see that much of her behind in that pose. Other than that Ithink this will be an awesome cover!
Any chance of carrying over those dark blues in the cat to the surround background? It would look real nice!

Hey veb. Nice... (yeah, I keep saying that don't I?).

I think you should define the buttocks as Joa mentioned... the back 'cheek' is as lit as the fore one, but the hind leg is darker... they should both be more or less simular,.. the butt crack could also be sharper. As a personal take on it, I think the foreground butt cheek should be a bit plumpier.

Love the tree branches fading into the depth of the sky... nice!

Hahaha, nice. Awesome pic.

I do have some criticism, but everyone's gonna think I'm a pervert. Come on, it's serious suggestions.

First off, it doesn't look like she has a crack. It looks like a little dent, that's all. Heh. Heh heh.

Also, I think the legs have more shine to them.

Besides those two things, I think it looks cool.

Hey vebjorn, nice painting. The lighting on the figures and the environments around them are nicely done. I also like the fact that you are breaking away from the boris style and doing your own. You managed to keep the energy that was present in the original line-art.

Cool!

Good work Veb!
The colors you've used looks very natural. Only thing i can suggest is a beast fur. Now skin looks more muscular without fur (blue hotspots) while his back seems to be more "furry".

heh, I could get busted for looking at this sh*t

Considering the critisims, I wonder what part of the painting draws the most attention *ahem*

-Duran, the 15 yr. old currently deeply studing your picture (I'd say good job but it would make this post look even worse )

woOOO! sweet My only critical comment is that ithere seems to be a mix of really refined/sharp areas such as her shouder armour and blurry slightly less defined areas such as the end of her sword, the beast's back, etc.. Still it looks great and inconsistency in this area could be a stylistic decision, either way it doesn't really take away from the great work you put into it, i was just reaching for something to comment on other than "WooOO!"

Digging the picture Vebjorn. Good Job

I got one small problem (Or possibly big?.) It is that the painting is very loose in some areas, then very tight in others, for instance... her legs compared to her armor. It kind of sets it off for me. Confuses me. Although I dislike the proportion of the creatures mouth. Its really werid looking, like he has 2D eyes and a 3D mouth. Kinda werid like that. Doesn't look all to realistic as the woman warrior does. Also as mentioned, the creature could use a little more texture (Possibly fur if its a lion type?); Ohwell, my insight. Not sure if it will do any good, take it as you will. Good luck!

D'ya think that a sultry warrior chick with a griffon and, wait for it,.......crotchless knickers would be pushing it too far?

Seriously though, Veb that is sweet but would she do the dishes? Her ass crack is too blurry though. Keep it up (as if you'd have any bother like that with her)

I liked the original black+white pic but I like this one even more. I like the colours used for the background and the whispy feel to it. The brightness of the sky around the mountains draws my eyes towards her face although the first thing my eyes drifted to was her butt, ahem. I'm not going to repeat what has already been said but one thing I noticed is that her sword arm looks short in relation to her body.

Great picture! I definitely like your style!
But I noticed that the beast's mouth has something wrong.. it seems that you got the perspective a bit wrong with the jaw.

Umm you rule man, brings back the days of staring at Boris Vallejo or Frank Frazetta work for hours. Was this done in Photoshop or Painter? -

Great pic...I'd have to agree with the out of perpective teeth tho. I love the use of colour and the trees in the backround There
are some minor mistakes but they don't detract from the overall feel of the piece.
Cool

Vebjorn: with all due respect, why exactly do you tend to paint portions of all your female subject images totally or partially nude?
is it a male thing?
and no im not trying to flame you.. your work is awsome i just sometimes cant picture half nakid females running around with swords and what not..
and yes i am male heh
