I was watching the trailer for the Final Fantasy Movie thats gonna come out in 2001 (looks awesome btw, get it at www.finalfantasy.com), and as you may/may not know, the whole movie is going to be in computer graphics. Now I know CG and traditional hand artwork can differ in many ways, but at the end, it shows a black man, and it got me thinking, when you select colour tones for faces and hands and such, doy ou use a base colour? If I were to paint a hand in phothoshop, would I colour it all one light colour of skin as the start, then shade from there? Or do you people do blotches of colour here and there, and smear them together in the end??
