Yo people,
it seems that the eyes that i draw always come out like a cheap gradient filled selections
So i'm here asking for help. Need help on drawing eyes.

Big eyes, small eyes, blue eyes, green eyes, brown eyes, pink eyes, realistic eyes, anime eyes, crying eyes, happy eyes, mad eyes, horny eyes, lovely eyes, wrinkeled eyes,..

in other words, all eyes you ever drawed!

Ugh, i've spoken

Peace
Jeff`

there was a nice tutorial pic from Rinaldo on this frog thread some days ago...ah, here it is:
quote:

I first use some round brushes. to get the circles. then I start to bring it out. remember that eyes are round and that the pupil is inset a bit. I then define the socket and add a bit of (badly chosen no doubt) colour besides green. The I add some pure white reflections. What I have done here is very generic and unrealistic but it makes it look round so that'll do. I then go over in a triangle with a low opacity of white. And that's about it. Not very sophisticated but it works to an extent.

One important thing with drawing eyes is to place a nice sharp reflection on it to give it it's glass-like appearance. Size, color and texture of the iris and the size/shape of the pupil are depending on what u like best...
hope this is useful

Thanks Jaymo

If you're interested in drawing eyes have a peek at the eye tut fred did a while back posted by CoDeX.

The thead can be found here http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003157.html

There is also a bigger version posted by Francis. http://www.geocities.com/francis001_2000/eye.jpg

This info is really good. You should be able to apply it to a lot of eye types with a bit of observation. Heh... you can see where my eye falls down after seeing fred's stuff.
