Hi there all!
A friend of mine started a projcet recently, that follows warriors throughout history. In the beginning there is a kind of cave man warrior, then medieval, and then futuristic. The WHOLE movie will be painted in photoshop and then compiled. He knows this is going to take a LONG time. Also he wants ME to use 3dsMax to create a kind of intro thing. HOWEVER! I am not to swift in 3dsMAX and was wondering where I can find some good 3dsMAX tutorials and such. It is a pretty simple idea. An asteroid in space with a astronaut ON the asteroid, then a BIG ol alien ship flies by and the astronaut looks up and sees the title of the movie on the back of the ship. THIS COULD TAKE A WHILE! especially because I have NO skills with 3dsMAX. Any help/input you could provide would be fabulous. Thanks again.
CIAO,
ian

no offence but if u say u don't have any skills in 3d max, aren't u getting a little over your head. I mean to dive straight into a movie intro seems pretty hard. |

Definitely! What you want to try is almost starting with character animation from nowhere! This can be very frustrating. Keep it simple at first. I'm working with softimage for about 2 years now and, believe me, 3D is a very complex thing. If you really want to do it, first do some basic tutorials on modeling, texturing, animating and rendering. Some nice tuts can be found on www.3dcafe.com ...
Just my 2p,
