I like the simplicity of the style. Unfortunately I can't quite guess who it is (maybe because I simply don't know them here in Australia). As for some crit, on the left hand side of the face, near the lip, you have a black section that isn't joined to anythink. It would probably look better if it was joined somehow. As I don't know the person, it might actually be a feature so I can't say exactly where to join it.

It looks like someone pulled a prank on her and inked her binocular lens and that her left eye really got it.
None-the-less, I could tell it was her. |

It's Meg ryan allright..
One thing, be careful with black and white.
One small mistake and the whole drawing will suffer, you have to look better and don't mix
midtones with highlights when simplyfying, the result of that can very often be confusing. Sure everything is there, but you have to make the right choises of what has to be there and what has to be leaved out.
Arg! This is really difficult for me to explain, but i could try to illustrate it for you. I'll be right back

Here's my try at it.
It don't look like Meg Ryan anymore, i did'nt have a referance photo, but as you can see
i've removed the outline totally. It's not needed most of the times, cause if you put your dark contrasts in the right spots, the eye will automaticaly fill in the rest.
I also added some hatching, it gives the drawing a certain sense of texture. The ear was also removed cause i suspect that even if it was visible on the photo, it would be
pretty dark and when it's simplyfied it would automaticaly have been black. That's what i meant with not confuse midtones with highlights when simplyfying. I hope this could help you a little bit. I'm sure that i have some more to say about this, but i'll get back to you on this i canse something's pop up.

Surferboi's looks more like her than yours though Micke. But hey, you use to look like Meg Ryan? That'd be pretty impressive! ^_^

yea its meg ryan.. as far as the critiques go i did her right eye first and her left eye i took more time on and did it later on in the movie where i could see her eyes better.. i shoulda touched up the right eye more looks kinda funky.
it took me about the time it takes to watch youve got mail twice to make the drawing with some pausing. its my first drawing attempt for this type of style, btw does this type of drawing have a specific name if i wanted to research some on it? thanks for the critiques btw
anyways visigoths drawing is where i got my inspiration from heres a link to his image |

Surferboi, it sure looks like one mad mrs.Ryan to me
Hehe am I the only one who thinks that micke's version has *some* similarity to the person on the show Dharma & Greg? (dharma). Dont remember her real name, but she's cutie anyways
Mebbe I just want to see her too much he-he
