Sorry for asking this again, but i really don't have the time to search through the threads....=P
I finally made a webpage this weekend. Now i wanna get it onto the net. I'm in the process of registering a domain name and looking for a real server, but for now, what is the best *free* service that doesn't have banners or ads, so i can get this baby up and running.
Any help will be appreciated...thanx again.

Hey Vortx
I know you're looking for a place with no banners, but I thought I'd offer some space at 3D Palette anyway, as we'd love to have you as a part of us.
We've been down for about 4 months now, which I know doesn't eaxactly inspire confidence, but we REALLY are due to be up soon. If you don't know about us, we're a game art site, with news, articles, tutorials, and we also host quite a few artists, amateurs & professionals including rorshash, Roger Bacon, Craig Mullins and a lot of others.
The thing you'll notice is that most free places have a limit on space and bandwith, which tend to be pretty heavy on a graphics site. If you're looking for these things, aswell as a big audience and a cool site, give me a shout. We can provide unlimited bandwith & space. Although, catch being you have to have ads on at least 50% of your pages (but they can be at the bottom or wherever u want them.)
Anyways, take it easy, and I loooove your marker sketches and stuff. Sweet! |

Some setup cost, but no banners and no monthly fee.

Well, www.cybercities.com is what I use and they don't have any ads. Ocassionally FTP will be extremely slow but on the whole they're pretty good. The address they give you is loooong but since you're registering a domain name that shouldn't be a problem. Their server space is limited to something like twenty megabytes if memory serves me correctly. |

I don't know how that worked, but 5 minutes ago when I typed up the reply (above) there were NO replies! Can anyone say alien abduction? Lost time?
Spooky. |
