Well, diversification of the arts takes it's toll on unsuspecting new jersey train operator, while they sleep,..or something,.

Taco Bell is not the mexican phone company

i'm a curions person, and trying to find out why all of you people are here., yea dhabih's not a bad artiste'. but then again what does it take to be a good or bad artist these days? do you just need a paintbrush and luck.,. yuppies buy anything,. i went to a gallery once and saw a painting where a pig was screwing a tv, and it was sold for 10,000 and the painting look like a kid did it,.

anyway just random thoughts,....

the real reason was for this post is..
to ask a few more questions:

age:
job:
have you sold any art, traditional or digital
..
for me, i'm 23, a PC tech,. and i've created many logo's for various companies, and sold a few paintings at local gallreies a few years back,. most i ever made on a painting was $300

i went to an art gallery yesterday, and i was looking at all the art that was made by the professional painters,. here's a scribble, theres a circle, look over there a wad of clay with a blue nail sticking out ofit,.. he must've taken years working on that one,. .oh, and my favorite, a 15 foot wide by six foot tall Orange canvas with one black line scribbled across it,. $15000 ,. i don't get it. <smirk>

Work at Overland Trading Co. (shoe store)

I've been asked to do a few things for my mom's day camps and the Girl Scout Council with some brochures! YooHoo, I'm moving on up - uh, yeah. I'm also suppose to design a website for my moms tech lady at her work cause she lets me use their Wacom Tablets (they work at a middle school), and the middle school website also. And then the Techs Boyfriend wanted me to do one for his little Mac Fixing company (he's fixed my computer at least 3x from me screwing it up - hehe!).

Hopefully I can get a job at MCI telemarketing soon so I can get my own puter and photoshop!! Yeah, sounds shitty but they pay $8.00/hr plus huge bonus for sales after meeting the monthly goal (I'm talking $100-$1000 in bonus')

Well, I don't post here too much, but the title of this post caught my eye so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Age: 25
Job: creative designer for a consulting firm
Artwork: I've done paid work for clients in the areas of 3D renderings, web sites and web graphics; I'm in the process of getting some paying Flash work. I've also done graphics, layouts, and Flash animations for some fairly large clients at work.

20.
Currently unemployed, after working in an office for 2 years. Going back to school in 1 month.
Once thought I sold a picture to some company for some ad, but I don't think they ever used it, and I never got paid.

Age: 18
Job: student in second senior of Visual Arts, part-time computer and software salesman in the biggest store of household appliances in The Nordic countries, freelance graphician and web designer (done it for over 3 years now).

Well I've sold websiteservices to few customers, and I've made few logos to couple companies but nothing more. So nothing big in here tho. At least not yet.

[age] 20
[profession] Graphic Designer
[sold works] Quite a few, but my favorite pieces I can never let go of digital or otherwise.

I've worked with penciling most of my life, I was being tutored by JH Williams III from DC Comics to be a penciller, but I found my way into the digital medium, and I've gotta say I'm diggin it.

The reason I'm here? When I first came to the net Dhabih's site blew me away. Most of his techniques STILL do. The guy has skill, and once you start studying art full time you realize even how much more talent Dhabih has.

"I've found my Graceland." haha
