This is my first piece using a tablet.
It's an update of a piece I done way back in 1996. Anyway, all comments are welcome and here you go.
and this is the 1996 piece created in Corel Photopaint 4.

I really liked some of the things happenin' within these images. Couple of quick comments:
- Love the effect and colour with the clock, some of the wood is really kick arse
-The hair on the clock one stands out and doesn't look like it has enough detail when compared with the rest of the picture.
- black strip across the breast looks like a censor mark, try to get it to curve and follow the contours of the breasts.
- the crouch area is too prominate and the proportion doesn't look right

See ya on da flip side

Die Lensflare Die!
there are so many other alternatives to the ABUSED lensflare... i really takes away from your picture and makes it look very amaturish...... (if thats a word) i'd keep far far faaar away from those lensflares, it doesnt really seem to fit the style you chose to draw in.
as for the paintings themselves i really like the comic style. one thing that bothered me on the first picture was the hair, its like she has no hair behind her head, only hair on her forehead? perhaps putting a darker layer of hair behind her head that you can see would make it look a little better. cuz it looks to me like she would have like a bowl type haircut in which case you would see the innerside of the bowl from that angle ...but the way you drew it, its like she has no "BOWL" lol......shit does that make sensE? i HOPE so! cool tho! |

MaLoRuM: Good to see I'm not the onlyone who hates filters....no wait who doen't?
Axl: Hey you live in London to! The more recent piece imo is a much better improvemnt from the prvious. The character as a whole looks good....some parts of it just look pasted together. The blacj thing around the boobs looks wonky because it has no lighting effect. Other than that I like it!

The chest part of the suit looks like a -censored- thingy. Other than that, it's a good first try using a tablet. |

Looking at my more recent pic I agree with your comments. The pic was reduced in size so as a result some of the detail was lost, most notably on the hair.
dEATH.Tool: Nice to see someone else from London on the forums.
MaLoRuM: the problem with the lens flare was that the package wasn't that advanced compared to PS and I couldn't do much so I resorted to using lens flare.
Matt and Spike: Funny how I never noticed how the black part of her top looked like a censor strip. Just goes to show you need a second or third pair of eyes to point such things out.
Thanks for your comments, until next time. |
