Hi Everyone,
This is my first post here ... I'll just give you a little background information about myself, I'll keep it very short, I know how boring it gets. I'm a 3d artist, not only a 3d artist, but *one* of those 3d artists who failed every art exam in high school ... and the only traditional art skill I know is "abstract" (Splattering black paint over an expensive canvis, it's just a nice way of saying, failed painter).
I hope to learn a bit of painting and illustrration from this forum, but, meanwhile, here's my "show and tell" picture, the stygian crossing.
Suggest, Critique, Nitpick, Comment ... you get the idea.

wow. i think thats really good. good texturing. the lighting isnt bad either. cant really think of what else to coment on. maybe work on the sky a bit.. add a bit more orange to balance it a bit, if you want |

Death.tool - It's a secret. No it isn't I used bryce for rendering, 3dmax for modelling
Guy - Yes, the sky is certanly something I am struglling with ... I am seriously considering using a photo, in contrast to something completely procedrial, like this, but I can't seem to find anything right ...

try terragen for skies.
i usually mix in some realworld clouds, but they ain't bad straight out of the program either.
