Here's a pic that is feeding my insomnia cause i've spent 3 hours on it and never wanna work on it again! It was done for practice and it put me through hell. The color is f'd up along with the nose and many other things but now it's time for me to stop doing these dumb photo paints and doing some of my own, I promise I will. So crit this peice if you'd like and I'll TRY and work on it tomorrow if I don't throw up.
I'd also like to thank Loki for those great tips on setting my monitor they really helped. You rock Loki!
and here's the ref which I've had on my hd for some time and dunno who she is
Enjoy! |

Sin is right about the eye. The insides of the eyes almost always line up with the outsides of the nostrils. Like if you draw a line from the outside of the right nostril up her face (at the same angle the head is tilted) then that's where the inside of the right eye should start.
It helps, too, to flip your painting while you're working on it to get a fresh look at it and pick up on the problem areas. Just use the "flip horizontal" command.
You did a good job on the color, keep at it. |

I think the problems with the nose gives it a blurred effect...the septum is leaning to the right and the lighting on her nose seems to give it more of the crooked nose look. The right nostril has depth, but not that well and the location of the right eye makes it stand out more. The left nostril looks like it's mostly detatched from her face [picture her head forward, looking directly at you]. The space between the nose and lips seems a little too small as well. I could be wrong about all of this..since I'm not too great with lighting and so forth..just IMHO

Very nice, i like the hair texture and the reflections (eyes, fingernails).. Lacey Chabert, I think is who it is. (from Lost In Space and like a dozen other movies). same old comments about nose out of alignment, otherwise quite nice.
