Two images inspired by S_ _ _ g _ D e _ _ n. Opinions are welcome.
I don't have much dimensionality in my paintings, so could anyone help me?

Bg: These are fantastic! I don't want to sound too arty here, but your pics convey a really deep atmosphere.

One thing, the second pic. Maybe there is too much emphasis on an 'outline' there? Dunno, people, back me up here...

Anyway, great stuff Bg!

cool!
one gripe though, in the second image, the thick black line arounf the gnome guy's head makes him look flat.

woah.

I love the first one -- I want to hang that on the wall. Lighting is beautiful. It's almost Homer-esque.

I really like that second one.. there's a lot of character in that face. The first one I also like a lot.. but you should have something going on in the foreground, even if it's plants or rocks.. but an advancing or retreating army is always fun

I added few things to both images. Something large object on the foreground would look nice. What do you think?

I like the colors, values, and brushwork in the first one, but DAMN that's a huge fire. You could see that thing from space.

Now it's finished.

AliasMoze, I saw erupting volcano in news and there was a giant column of smoke.

I like both pictures, the first one especially, very powerful both in colour and scale. The second reminds me of Prince Charles with a moustache.
Nice work.

I don't know, I think a huge blaze like that would throw more light around. Other than that, it looks very good.

Beautiful! the first painting has a very John Turner feel to it, very expressive. the texture of the 'flames' is amazing.

WOW... BG, I don't even know what to say about that first image... it's extremly powerful. The colors are so comforting; it's an over all beautiful picture.

I love that flaming city pic. The way the flames are detailed with that clever texturing... it just conveys this awesome sense of mass and energy. And the way the flames are dark and multicolored is very creepy as if the flames were unholy or at least not of this earth. Me gusta mucho
