Heya,
Well, I've been lurking here for a looong time (in awe, obviously ) and I thought I'd finally contribute something I did a few months back.
Here's the address to the picture: http://www.unforgivendesign.com/quack/livingscape.html
Anyway, obviously there are a bunch of things wrong with this picture, (house's perspective is wrong, the trees are too dark for how far away they are, and so on..) but I figured some of you may just get a kick out of it. Who knows-maybe that little waving guy will make it into all of my future pictures. *grin*
Enjoy

I've never painted landscapes before, so I can't offer much in the way of critique. But I can offer my opinion, I like the atmosphere of the picture a lot. Very scenic and serene.
I especially like the man and the shore animation, hehe. Nice touches

Haha, very nice. The pic itself is great, and adding little animations was ingenious. I think you could really do some awesome things with that idea. Maybe add some more complex animations, like birds flying by, or a smoother tide animation. But that's a great pic, and an awesome idea. |

lol, well, its always good to have 'interest' in the foreground, and you're little guy definitely adds that. (You got me with that one) Nice.

Nice work with the trees and the ground, great colors.
A couple suggestions...
Vary the treeline more, so that it's not just a straight line going across the picture. And if you're going to show that much of the sky you might want to make it more interesting to look at. Like put some sweeping clouds in there and a couple birds like someone else suggested.
The animations are very clever. I'll have to remember that one. |

Hehe, thanks guys, glad you got a kick out of it. The original idea for the animations came from an old computer children's book type program. Basically, the landscape would move while you read the story...er, not sure if I explained that very well, but oh well.
I thank you all for your suggestions and I'll try and fit them into any future pictures. (I knew it was missing something...birds! thanks )

I like, I do agree with Fat Assisans comments though. The little fella I think would work better if he was waving from the road area on the left. He is too dead center. Have a play and see what you can come up with.
