Well, figured I may as well do at least one photo copy, and I must say that I think one is enough. Just can't compare to creating your own images. Don't know if there's much to critique-I know where I need to be going, but feel free to comment anyway.
Eyh, took an hour. Back to buildings and landscapes I guess.

PS: The only part I like are the shorts-everything else is rendered pretty badly.

looking good. I think perhaps you need some more variation in the values in the shadowed regions. This is especially tru in the face, and is why you're not getting any sense of form. The overblown lighted side really says "sunny day" tho, so I like that.
don't get discouraged, this is good stuf, keep going. |

I think there may be a monitor problem here. your pics always seem to be washed out to me Anthony.
Have you used the Adobe gamma thing? (I know you use painter but you still might have PS) The proportions look ok (can't really see tho becuase of the way this stupid new scroling thing works (I usuialy like to look at the pic as I reply)
Anyway the values and thus colours seem to be way off on my screen. But then the ref pic should be that same? ahhh F*&^k it Iduno.
Do you have any comment reguarding this? |

I have the same problem as rinaldo. The proportions seem fine, but the rest of the image is way too light, washed out, and lacking contrast. Are you using 32bit-true color, because if not that probably affects your color values.

I'm not sure-I think it might be my monitor settings. Remember how people were complaining that they couldn't see my images cause they were too dark? I turned the brightness way down, maybe that's having an effect. Plus I'm still learning all this. I think I'll install Adobe and after that just work on my confidence in slapping down more severe colors, instead of muddling around in the center(which ends up muddy ). I went over some of the parts increasing the contrast, but I'm sure there's more I could do. Maybe some stronger radiosity lighting on her right bottom side(from our view). Anyway, thanks all, as always it's much appreciated.
