here's a picture i had my friend scan in for me. kinda hard to keep up when i don't have a scanner yet. i know the face is off, but it was relaxing to draw it. hanging out on the forum, i'm realizing how much i need to practice drawing people. the design thing in the bottom left corner it a doodle.

The clothing looks very convincing, especially the sleeve. Shoulder is dislocated though, it leans forwards.
As for the head, the lips are more on the viewers side of the face than the other, the nose is at a weird angle as well, probably because of the lips.
Also, the forehead looks a bit unsymmetrical. There's no eye socket protecting the eyeball.
Nice perspective, like the shading on the rocks, too. Looks really windy.

I really like your drawing. Any plans on turning it into a painting? My eye tends to over look minor anatomy problems because you have a nice line quality and you've put a lot of interesting details and designs in the drawing. Also, the perspective along with the background gives it a cool stylized feel. I would drop the corner doodle and continue forcing the perspective with a few more ambiguous background elements. If you paint, don't lose the line quality and texture of your drawing. Very nice. |

I think its great just the way it is.
everything doesnt have to be perfect propotioned or finished to look good.
It is easy to look at. calm. |

Hey, nice drawing! Somehow this reminds me of Mr. grand old pixelling master RA of Nooon & Sanity fame ...
Anyways, your pencil line and values look great, and I particularly love the way the distorted figure and the ambiguous background work together for a very interesting overall design. This stylistic approach is much more interesting in my eyes than many of the rather pedantic character design sketches I've seen... (I do realize that character and concept drawings usually have to convey information, not just function as artworks, so no offence is meant)
