I've been drawing for quite some time now, just pencil. As soon as i found sijun.com i've been trying to paint in photoshop. I've heard various "quick" techniques, such as just use burn/dodge or paint black with the airbrush on low opacity. But none of these work, they produce unatural colors when applied. The best choice is to choose colors and paint them in, as far as i know. The problem is im terrible at this, as i am just starting out. I dont know what colors to use for flesh clothing etc. or how to add shadows very well. I did take a painting class but it was very basic and didnt help a whole lot. Does anyone know where i could learn about this, see example pallettes or pretty much anything at all helpful. Thanks

i cant say much for realism in choosing colours, but for comics, get images and use the eyedropper tool, i would assume this works for realism too, but again, im not an expert on that one.... eventually, when you become a computer nerd like me you'll be able to tell the colours and the values of the rgb hehe ooh look thats a pretty 100,245,52 !!!

Can't believe you said "use the eyedropper". Shame on you. Astigma search the forums for posts on coloring. There are plenty of them out there.
