hey affected - errrm, on that image you did of that blue alien type thing, how did you do all those hundreds of tiny circular bumbs on the skin?

I don't know, possibly, that's just how I did it.
I didn't do all of them in screen at once, though - I did portions at a time, fully shading the dots.

The hard way. I painted each one by hand. No cloning, no filters, no patterns... It was thew only way I could htink of that would make the skin wrap around the head properly.
It's more like thousands, actually - I think I counted something like 8000 dots.

lol, you COUNTED EM? you DO have a lotta time on your hands!
haha.
i know you did them singley, but what i want to know, is HOW? what brush, brush settings, opacity, blending mode?
If you can remember that'd be great!

The size was either 1 or 2, probably, depending on the size of the dot I was making (There is some variation there), and I switched between the airbush and paintbrush depending on what felt better at the moment. As far as I can remember, I first painted the dots with the tool in question set to 'screen', and then added some shading with it set to multiply. Really, nothing complex, just mind-numbingly repetitive. |

so you did it all on SCREEN, and then after doing 8000 dots, you went round ALL of them again with muliply setting?
any way to include the shading in just one go?
