I have a project due in ONE WEEK, that I am animating all on my own, (with a not so incredibly fast computer) using photoshop, flash 5, and premier to compile it all.

SO! I need to know how to convert the avi files into quicktime, (because of better quality and thats what the comps at school support. Im really freaking out. For once in my life, art is pain, not fun. I guess im having my first REAL deadline experience. You guys who have jobs are probably just like.."pppsshh, what a loser..."

OKAY OKAY... enough back to work!!

Why did you slack off...tssh tssh

I am not sure that is possible for free. $$ (mula) might be required for a program to convert that over.

I didn't slack. It's just too much for 1 person to take on in two weeks. In addition to studying for other finals as well.

don't whine. try having one DAY of time to build a presentation video that takes about 3 days in total to render. then on top of that set up a capture system, edit those, assemble the whole video, edit in text and shit like that, and mail it to the client.

in one day. we pulled it off. :p

I don't think my version of premiere supports quicktime. It's some kind of version 5.0 beta crap that I got off of direct connect.... I just need it for this project. any suggestions??

are you sure you have no Files>export...>movie function?

if so look here: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/index.html

maybe they have a link to a mov2avi converter there

But with more people I presume? Im a one man show. More heads than one is always better than... *uuhmm* one. But still your scenario sounds pretty awfull.

Is it gonna be played on teachers computer or something? Then i don't recomment DivX, just burn onto CD simple AVI or MPG with max quality. Quiktime can suck big balls

Or if you wanna look good try something like Smacker or Bink Video from www.radgametools.com . You can actually create self-executables with those, which looks neat when presenting something to teachers. The compression sucks though. Image & Sound Quality is mediocre in Smacker and OK in Bink, but filesizes are waaaaay too large. Well it's definitely worth a look.
Be sure to post the stuff
