I have just installed an abit Siluro Geforce 2mx....
Ive installed the latest detonator drivers from the nvidia website.
My system is a celeron 533 with 96mb ram
The thing is... My framerates suck.... nothing to write home about... Like im getting 30fps and below at 1024x768x16
and even at 640x480x16 its slugish infact id say there is little framerate difference between the two rezes....
Hmm I m not sure what the problem is.... Ive reinstalled the drivers like 3 times and reinstalled directx 8....
in the 3dmark 2000 tests my card sucks like for some of the tests im getting 7fps @ 1024x768x16...
any ideas anyone?
im not 100% sure but might i have to fiddle around with my bios settings? like some agp setting in there?
anyway you guys are the professional Board going hardware gurus, maby you could help me out ? |

Are you sure you stuck the thing in your AGP slot?

Heheh where else can you stuck AGP cards??? RAM slots? hehe
Anyway is AGPx2 or x4 enabled? If it's x1 then that can be it. Also get a new BIOS update for your mobo.
Ohh you never told the real numbers, what fps in Q3/sandra/whatever else you're using?

Thanks shizo....
I have a stroing feeling that it is related to my agp slot speed being set down...
Well I havebnt got any actual figures from quake...
but in the 3d mark 2000 tests it was going from 10 to 30 fps @ 1024x768x16 |

I think it has something to do with my bios settings...
Hmm I think a good reformat would help but I don really want to do that... |

could it be that I dont have enough voltage running to my card?
Well I have the voltage in my cpu setup set at 200W I think so does that mean my Ge-force is running at 200W?
shouldnt it be set to somewthing like 250 or even 300?
or if the voltage was wrong wouldnt the card run at all?
